There are individuals who bring so much value in celebrating their day with others. Case in point, is my best friend, Ate Malou Galian. Since she joined us in 2008, she has made it a tradition to bless children every year. She also makes sure that her friends tag along in donating or volunteer with her.
For the first time, our team had an event in Payatas. Our partner, Tulong sa Kapwa Kapatid, who has been serving in the site for 12 years, took care of providing us a comfortable and secure venue. Personally I met some of the children through the trips we had with them.
It was a simple yet fun filled afternoon. Thirty two children were partnered with 12 of us for three interactive games: In or Out, Bring Me Art and Fax Machine. These bunch of games are highly competitive and that’s exactly what transpired. Ate Malou’s team protested countless times.
Before bidding good bye, Ate Malou went around to give out gifts she either personally spent on or collected from family and friends. It was a bag packed not just with useful items but also with love and care.
Thank U! Ate Malou. We look forward to continue doing this tradition with U!
